Astronaut Program

Our vestibular (movement and balance) sensory system provides an important bridge between our sensory processing and movement control. ‘Astronaut Training’ is a sound activated vestibular-visual protocol which provides a range of activities that integrate moving, looking and listening skills. Just like real astronauts have to have!

The programme incorporates a range of interesting and challenging gross motor and visual-motor activities, in conjunction with specially created music to playfully capture, sustain and enhance a child’s attention, movement and effort throughout. Astronaut Training can be implemented by therapists trained in sensory processing dysfunction and provides strategies that will support children in attaining their optimal physical, emotional, social and cognitive ability.
